ManU wins in Amsterdam

On Saturday the 14th of November 2009, the Ugandan football fans, (supporters of the English premiership league) decided to tussle it out to establish the stronger of the 2 groups by playing a football match against each other. In this case the teams involved Manchester united and Arsenal fans. The match took p[lace at Diemen sports grounds in Amsterdam on this rainy autumn day.

The Manchester United line-up included: Sharif; goalkeeper, Eddy Kalungi, Daudi Kibakulo, Abby Kizito, Ibra Ssegujja, Paul, William and William. And Arsenal: Joachim Kikomeko; goalkeeper, Sam Walugembe, Kasansula, Joseph, Richard Musazi, Robert, Moses, Derrick (doubles as coach), Steven (Ijmuiden), among others.

The game took 35 minutes per half and Adam Segawa refereed it. By the end of the match a total of 4 goals had been scored 3 for Manchester United against one. Many Ugandans and friends of Uganda graced the event despite the horrid weather. The contributions from fans were used to buy meat, which was cooked and consumed at the Uganda café in Amsterdam.

The Manchester United goalkeeper; Sharif, emerged as the man of the match for stopping most Arsenal attempts at his goal. A re-match will happen soon and you shall be informed in due course.
